Most multifamily properties have some utilities that are single metered which the owner pays. The best way to increase value is to decrease expenses. With a RUB system, any single metered utility is charged back to the tenant, and you don’t have to install submeters. Using a RUBS provider can automate the utility billing process for you, dividing costs fairly among tenants.
