RENT Magazine Q2 '24

Alexandra (AAOA):

What else are you doing to provide better support and resources for women looking to build confidence in investing?

Liz Faircloth:

It’s not just about the information that you go and get, it’s about the connections. It’s about the potential partners that you’re making. Because these women are there to get things done. We also have a lot of free resources on https:// www.therealestateinvesther.com/. Under Community, you’ll see Facebook and our meetups. And we have free events every month where we bring experts to talk about something that’s very applicable to real estate investors. We just want to be looked at as a resource. Women have to move the needle in their financial future. That’s what we are in the business of doing. And to all the guys, please share this with the women in your lives!

Outside of the conference, we have local meetups. Real estate and networking are hyper local. Andressa and I started a meetup for women in Philadelphia a few years ago. One of the women who came to our meetup had two units at the time and was really trying to expand. Now she has 20 units and it’s just so cool to see her growth. I’m not saying it’s just because of InvestHER, but she really attributes that growth to consistency. When we started meetups in Philly, the women in our Facebook community asked, do you have one in California? So, we started to see if volunteers were out there to help us expand. Today, we have about 50+ chapters nationwide. I’m still really excited about our meetups. It’s a local way for women to feel connected. And our meetup leaders all have experience.
