INTENTIONAL COLLABORATION
HOST AN ONLINE NETWORKING EVENT
TRY REVERSE NETWORKING
The best creative networking ideas rest in the power of intentional collaboration! If you have a network that you feel is beneficial to others within your field, don’t be afraid to collaborate and expose your network to new people they would have otherwise never met without you. Collaboration is key when expanding your network. It not only opens doors to new opportunities but also strengthens relationships within your existing circle. By actively seeking out partnerships and sharing resources, you create a dynamic environment where everyone involved can thrive and grow. Remember, the more you give, the more you receive in the world of networking!
A couple of things that work well are: 1. Attend local meetup or biz groups and offer to do educational, value driven presentations. It builds rapport and almost always attracts people to ask questions, book meetings with you or simply compliment you for delivering true value. 2. Host an online networking event on LinkedIn. Invite connections and those YOU’D like to connect with to attend and network with each other for the sole purpose of making introductions and seeing who can help who.
Reverse networking – Flip the script and add value to others when networking. What is it all about? It is a selfless approach, not how someone can help you, but how you can help others. Over the years, I have connected people with lenders, insurance brokers, accountants, property managers and politicians. I ensure any connection I make is going to be mutually beneficial. We have all heard about karma. Well, this is putting good karma to work in a practical way. It is important to be genuine and operate with integrity.
I ENSURE ANY CONNECTION I MAKE IS GOING TO BE MUTUALLY BENEFICIAL.
INVITE CONNECTIONS AND THOSE YOU’D LIKE TO CONNECT WITH.
COLLABORATION IS KEY WHEN EXPANDING YOUR NETWORK.
