However, in late April of this year, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released two notices concerning how AI and algorithmic tools can potentially present legal concerns under the Fair Housing Act. They are putting the housing industry on notice that these tools that have streamlined processes and increased productivity can also increase your risk of liability under the Fair Housing Act.
